We are dedicated to conducting all our activities in a manner, which protects and safeguards the environment. Pharmore Grey Matter Ltd is committed to the prevention of pollution, compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations, and continual improvement of our management system and environmental performance.

The key points of our strategy to achieve this are:

  • Minimise waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as efficient as possible.

  • Actively promote recycling both internally and amongst its customers and suppliers.

  • Source and promote a product range to minimise the environmental impact of both production and distribution.

  • Meet or exceed all the environmental legislation that relates to the Company.

Policy objectives are:

  • To reduce waste and consumption of resources.

  • To reduce or eliminate incidents of pollution.

  • To comply with applicable legal and other requirements related to our environmental aspects.

  • To ensure that environmental issues, objectives, and targets are communicated and reviewed at appropriate points across the organisation.

  • To seek and encourage feedback from the ‘grass roots’ level on problem areas and new initiatives.

  • To provide the appropriate level of training to all our staff.

Advances in technologies such as broadband internet, smart phones, and cloud computing mean that many jobs can now be done effectively outside of traditional workplaces.

Homeworking reduces employee commuting, resulting in carbon, money, and time savings. If office space is properly rationalised to reflect this, homeworking can also significantly reduce office energy consumption and rental costs.

Workplaces that can realise the greatest immediate environmental benefits from a shift to homeworking tend to be those with long average employee commutes, especially by car, and where employers are contemplating a move to new premises.

Why we believe that Pharmore Grey Matter Ltd will make a positive impact on the environment:

Desire to rationalise office space and provide a national service - Having a skilled workforce nationwide gives our clients access to the best service regardless of location.

Paperless office - All members of our teams have access to the correct communication equipment and a secure Customer Relations Management System to assist client service levels.

Receptive senior management: Our team is committed to having a positive impact on the environment and reducing our carbon footprint.

Short or no employee commutes: The shorter the average commute time, the greater the potential cost, time, and environmental benefits for employees. Having a virtual service reduces this significantly, providing an excellent service without the cost to the environment.

Suitable working environment at home: It is important that the home environment provides somewhere conducive to work such that employees are productive. Clients can have a service provided into their environment of their choice, helping them to feel more comfortable enhancing the experience.

At every stage in our projects Pharmore Grey Matter Ltd will seek to advise and co-operate with clients and other interested parties in achieving an environmentally friendly service. We will also encourage its sub-contractors and suppliers to adopt similar policies and objectives.

It is recognised that the environment is the responsibility of all employees, and line management are charged with ensuring the clear communication and understanding of the management system among all their staff.

All Managers will:

  • Resource and plan the implementation of this policy.

  • Ensure that the environmental management system requirements are reviewed regularly and are easily available to all persons who may need access to them.

  • Monitor, measure, and review performance so as to learn from experience and to ensure continued improvement.

  • Ensure that, through training, coaching and advice, all employees are competent to undertake their duties.
