Alan started his career in Investment Banking and spent 20yrs working for organisations such as Kleinwort Benson & Barclays Capital before purchasing and running a highly successful recruitment company Sequoia Consulting in 1999. He later moved to construction, where he was a founding Director of Knowles Construction; he enjoyed considerable success in each area of his career.

After the successful sale of his shareholding in Knowles, he returned to his previous passion, coaching. Alan began building on his Master-practitioner skills in NLP, has studied executive coaching, mentoring and cognitive psychology to Master’s level (UWE) and gained the ILM Level 7.

As a valued member of the Grey Matter team this provides the perfect opportunity to exploit Alan’s experience in business and coaching.
