James fulfils a vital role within the Grey Matter Advisory Board of coaching OUR coaches, providing a platform for further development as well as overseeing the development of the Grey Matter Coaching Academy.

James is a fully qualified teacher, trainer, coach, and mentor with over 30 years of experience working in education and training, within both personal and professional development sectors. His extensive expertise and dedication to fostering growth and learning make him an invaluable addition to our team.

Currently, James serves as the Course Director for the Diploma in Coaching at the Institute of Continuing Education at the University of Cambridge. He also facilitates coach training for GEIN Academy in Hanoi, Vietnam, alongside his supportive role at Grey Matter.

A keen exponent of a learner-centred, co-collaborative approach, James excels in utilising discussion-based, guided-discovery learning methods designed to bring out the very best in those he works with. His commitment to these principles ensures that every interaction is enriched with insight and encouragement, driving both personal and professional development.
